What to wear
Class Attire:
Active wear is the essential attire for all classes. This attire is for safety reasons as well as ensuring a full range of motion during class so your teacher can correct lines and positions. Loose, baggy clothing including t-shirts and wide leg dance pants are not suitable for class. Physie ballets are mandatory for classes in Term 2 and 3 in preparation for competitions. It is highly recommended that a drink bottle is brought to class.

Competition Attire:
Approved competition leotard, skirt and silver ballet shoes are compulsory for all competitions. Ages 13+ wear shimmer or professional fishnet dance stockings and are allowed makeup and fake tan.

Competitions
Each year a number of competitions are scheduled between August – November. Included in your annual registration fee is payment for participation in up to three Interclubs and other official competitions. Competitions consist of:
Interclubs
(August/September)
These are small events hosted by other Physie Clubs and give members the opportunity to experience competition in an informal setting. All competitors receive an award for their participation.
Note: members will be required to wear a competition approved leotard and ballets. Please discuss this with your teacher prior to any purchases.
Teams
(October/November)
Six girls from Lane Cove Physie Club are selected to represent us in a team competition against other clubs with members in the same age group.
Note: team members will be required to purchase a team leotard selected by their teacher for this event.
Champion Girl / Lady
(October/November)
Champion Girl / Lady Competitions are the main individual competition, giving competitors the opportunity to perform against all Sydney Metropolitan clubs for a chance to be selected for the State competition. State competitors then have the opportunity to be selected to compete at the State Grand Final, performed at the Sydney Town Hall on the last Sunday in November.
Club Awards Event
Held at the conclusion of each year, the club Awards event is a celebration of our club's success and recognition of everyone that contributes to our club.
